RAC has built a loyal global following in the dance and pop genres by releasing a long line of catchy remixes. It's only fitting that the very first original track from RAC, Hollywood (featuring Penguin Prison), would be so remix ready. During this past summer, we released two official remixes of the single and now we're psyched to announce a new remix bundle with three more. The bundle features tracks from a very diverse group of DJs, producers, and musicians in the dance world: Escort, Treasure Fingers, and Cassian. Some serious dancing went down this past weekend at Brooklyn Bowl, as Green Label Sound and RAC presented a special two-night event with acts curated by and featuring RAC. The first night featured Jeffrey Jerusalem of YACHT spinning and then Body Language put on a high energy live performance on the second night. The Bowl was packed and crowd could not stop moving if they tried.

By the way, the photo-booth saw much action, so if you came to the event and took a picture, tag yourself on the Green Label Sound Facebook page. On the other  hand, if you didn't go to the show or take a picture, check out the Facebook page anyways for a few laughs.

"Hollywood" has been everywhere this Summer: you've probably heard it booming in the clubs, coming out of the radio, at backyard barbecues and it was even played at the Silent Disco at Bonnaroo. The official video for the original single from RAC, "Hollywood featuring Penguin Prison" is now out. This cinematic visual for the song follows the story of a true 1850's cowboy who has been misplaced in modern day Los Angeles. He misses home and longs for familiarity in the midst of the confusing circumstances. We won't spoil the end but the video features RAC founder himself, André Allen Anjos, actress Rose McGowan, and Penguin Prison's Chris Glover. His following grew steadily as he has continued to produce quality remixes for top tiered artists including The Shins, U2, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Green Label Sound is proud to announce the release of our next official single, "Hollywood (featuring Penguin Prison)," by Portland-based producer/DJ,  RAC. This dancey pop track is the very first original music from this seasoned remixer and will be available for free download on May 3rd. As usual, we'll also be following it up with a couple of remixes by some of the best DJs around.

Green Label Sound approached Andre Anjos (RAC) about working together and he was ready, “the thing  that really sold me was the reputation, you know, with the other songs they’ve already done. People that I really like have released music on this label, so I’m very proud to be part of that.” He immediately brought in Penguin Prison to work on the track: “It was such an obvious choice… We like the same things, same chords, same sounds.”

Next Thursday, keep your eyes out for upcoming video footage of Andre discussing and producing the track!
