On October 20th, 21st and 22nd, Green Label Sound threw a series of Late Night events in New York City. Each night showcased a Green Label Sound artist and their friends behind the turntables. The Cool Kids repped alongside Asher Roth and Klever, Holy Ghost! invited beloved GLS remixer Jacques Renault and Tim Sweeney, and Wavves finished it off with their friends in Group Tightener. Once again, The Cool Kids have teamed up with directors Maxim Bohichik and Alex Bergman of BBGUN Films to deliver a new video for their Green Label Sound single, “Summer Jam (feat. Maxine Ashley).” The video shows what Summer should be: nothing but “bevs, barbecue, and babes,” as Mikey and Chuck would say. You’re invited to one of the craziest pool parties of the season, so pack up your swim trunks, a towel and your croquet mallet. We’re proud to release the official video for Julio Bashmore’s remix of the Classixx track “Into the Valley feat. Karl Dixon”. To give the proper visual for the track, the L.A. based DJ duo partnered with their friend and director Marcus Herring. Herring’s vision for the video centered on “striking simplicity.” The result is one, continuous shot following a girl sprinting through a forest (overlooking a valley, naturally) as layered psychedelic images of leaves and flowers appear over the footage.

At the first Dew Tour stop in Ocean City, Maryland, The Cool Kids performed the first show after their release of their debut album When Fish Ride Bicycles. Today, Green Label Sound released some of the concert footage of them performing “GMC”, the bass-heavy track off the record. “GMC” obviously sounds amazing on the record, but witnessing it live on the beaches of Ocean City, Maryland must have been unbelievable.
